MAILBOX FAQ’s

Answer

We coordinate mailbox installation with the USPS as much as possible to lessen any mail delivery issues. Typically mail delivery is not delayed more than a few hours or sometimes the next business day. Disclaimer: we do not control the USPS, but we will do our best to work with them for a smooth transition.

No, we prefer a smooth, flat broom finish concrete pad without bolts set in the slab. This will allow us to place the mailbox in the exact location per USPS requirements and roto-hammer expansion bolt install the mailbox to your slab.

Answer

Most of the time we can reuse the existing concrete pad. It is up to the USPS in your community service area to approve reuse of the existing concrete. When we reuse your pad, we will cut existing bolts flush with the concrete surface and install new expansion bolts to secure the new mailbox unit.

Answer

We do not do the framing work in the wall. This must be done by a framing contractor etc. prior to our arrival to install the mailboxes. We sometimes do final trim or shim work to complete the job and make sure the mailboxes are installed properly.
